Yonah Schimmel Knishes can be kept in the refrigerator for up to five days.
#1: Heat in microwave until warm, How warm? Depends on your microwave. (about 2 minutes). Serve with deli mustard.
#2: Heat in oven (about 10 minutes), I put mine on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees, cover with tin foil. Take foil off at the end for a few minutes for a crispy knish. Poke with a fork, when the fork is hot, knishes are ready. Don’t overheat. Serve with deli mustard.
You Can Freeze Them Too…
Individually wrap knishes in plastic wrap. Double bag them to prevent freezer burn. When ready, take them out of the freezer. From freezer to oven, Do not defrost. Remove plastic. Heat in oven until hot. I put mine on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees covered with a tin foil, cook slow. Take foil off for a few minutes near the end for a crispy knish. Poke with a fork, when the fork is hot, knishes are ready. Serve with deli mustard. (may be frozen for up to 3 months). Don’t microwave frozen knishes. For best results, eat them all today!
